Helmut was a German wizard who lived in the 1930s. He was the Head of the German Auror Office for the German Ministry of Magic, and a supporter of Gellert Grindelwald and the Alliance.[1]
Biography[]
In 1932 in Berlin, at the German Ministry, Helmut and several other Aurors attached to the German Ministry stood watch over a vast gathering of chanting supporters of the two Supreme Mugwump candidates: Liu Tao and Vicência Santos. At the arrival of the anti-Grindelwald movement, he was hailed and displayed a cordial façade to Theseus Scamander prior to the Tea Ceremony and permitted the group entrance. However, Helmut stunned Theseus with a silent spell to the back when he attempted to arrest Vinda Rosier and several other members of the Alliance at the Ministry, and, in German, ordered for him to be taken away and arrested.[1]
Helmut and other Grindelwald-serving Aurors attended The walk of the Qilin ceremony in Bhutan, where they planned to intercept Dumbledore's followers and retrieve Newton Scamander's suitcase, which contained a Qilin. After cornering Theseus and Eulalie Hicks, he and the other Aurors were overpowered with the magical contents of the duplicated suitcases, which prevented them from stopping Dumbledore's plan.[1]
Magical abilities and skills[]
- Nonverbal magic: Helmut was capable of casting spells nonverbally with ease, as he was able to stun Theseus Scamander swiftly with a silent spell to the back. He also freed an unnamed member of Grindelwald army after Eulalie Hicks imprisoned him in a wall of a building in Bhutan.[1]
