"NO MORE HEXIDENTS..."
Daily Prophet advertisement[src]

Hex-a-Gone was a product designed to provide protection against the Dark Arts. It was made of Dehoff's patented bimetal alchemical thread, which made it effective as it is invisible to Dark wizards. However, the Hex-a-Gone ad from the Daily Prophet warned that users of the product had to follow the manufacturer's "extremely complicated and laborious instructions", or it could result in unintended home hexidents. Dehoff would not take responsibility for the consequences of such hexidents.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

  • Given the similiar style in advertising and the mutual use of the phrase "You Know It Makes Sense", it is possible that Hex-a-Gone and Bradley's Reinforced Indoor "Spell Shelter" are produced by the same company.
  • The name of this product is a pun on the homophonous word "Hexagon".
