- "Malfoy was already packing up, sour-faced; Slughorn had pronounced his Hiccoughing Solution merely 'passable'."
- — Description[src]
The Hiccoughing Solution was a potion that presumably caused hiccoughs.[1]
History[]
During the 1996–1997 school year, Draco Malfoy brewed some when Horace Slughorn asked his sixth-year Potions students to make something "amusing", but Slughorn was unimpressed with Draco's work, declaring it only "passable". Draco's lack of enthusiasm for the class most likely contributed to the lack of effort.[1]
The Hogwarts Apothecary Department carried the Hiccoughing Solution in its stores.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
- The counter-charm for hiccoughs may be the reverse of this potion, or alternatively, the spell used to finish the brewing process of this potion.
