- "I remember the day I took a party of ladies for a spin over the Himalayas. If I knew where they landed, I would've brought them back too."
- — Portrait of a Quidditch player[src]
The Himalayas is a mountain range in Asia, and home to the planet's highest peaks, including the highest, Mount Everest. It separates the plains of the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan Plateau.
In around the mid-19th century, a Quidditch player flew on an enchanted bench trip over the Himalayas. The latter trip was also taken by a party of young ladies, who fell out during the course of the ride and thus prevented the Quidditch player from returning them.[1]
