A Hippogriff egg is an egg laid by a Hippogriff. Laid as a single large egg in a nest on the ground, they are extremely fragile and hatch within twenty-four hours.[1]
The fragments of a hippogriff egg were found by Mathilda Grimblehawk and her partner at the Old Bell Tower during their investigation of the attack on Gordon Horton.[2]
