The History of the Dark Arts[1] was a seminar taught as part of the training program concerning several horrific, historical accounts about the development and practice of Dark Magic. It ministered by the Auror Office to those who successfully completed the stringent series of character and aptitude tests required to qualify for becoming an Auror-in-training. It consisted of a lecture on different ways to recover from non-fatal injuries during combat situations. It was also part of the training offered to members of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force in 2019 who sought to pursue a career as an Auror at a time they were dealing with the consequences of Calamity.
