Hitchens was the surname of a British Muggle family related by marriage to the mostly pure-blood supremacist House of Black. At least one member by marriage, Iola Black, was a witch.[1]

In the mid to late 19th century, Bob Hitchens (a Muggle) married Iola Black (a witch) from the House of Black, she was subsequently disowned and blasted off the family tapestry.[1] It is currently unknown whether Bob and Iola's union produced children or not.
