The Hosmeade Entrance Bridge was a stone bridge that crossed from the road from Hogwarts Castle to the archway leading to the all-wizarding village of Hogsmeade, hence the name.[1][2]
History[]
In the late 19th century, the Hogsmeade Entrance Bridge was overgrown with moss and crossed a river, likely the Rivers Edge or the same one that surrounded the village itself. There were many wooden signs by the bridge on the Hogwarts grounds end.[2]
By the mid-20th century, the signs had been removed, and the river beneath the bridge had diminished and dried up. The bridge was still there in 1932, but it was smaller and no longer overgrown.[3] In 1996, the bridge remained the same as it had been in 1932.[1]
