The Hogsmeade town crier (fl. 1890) was a wizard who made public announcements and proclamations in the village of Hogsmeade during the 1890–1891 school year. With the use of enchanted signs, his messages included calling for the sacking of Phineas Nigellus Black, the highly unpopular Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, as well as warning of dark times ahead that the magical beasts in the area could sense.[1]
