This patch was a secluded area in the Hogwarts grounds, in an arboreal area close to the Gargoyle Gate, inside which multiple Puffskeins were kept as a playground. The patch spanned a long area and had warmers, into which the Puffskeins tended to hop. It housed seven of the Puffskeins.[1]
It was required for Harry Potter to enter here to acquire the fire seeds requested by Rubeus Hagrid to hatch Norbert's egg.[1]
Layout[]
The patch started with a warmer hole. In front of it was a platform where the warmer was connected to. To the right was the main area - four Puffskeins were playfully hopping around in platforms unreachable to Harry, but a fifth one was sleeping by a hole in the wall below, where he could interact with, and was required to clog the warmer. Ahead and above the warmer platform was a small forest heading to a gap where another warmer hole was seen. Following this to a small tunnel, a second large area where a very wide warmer hole was seen, along with two bushes that could be eaten and grown back, and up to two additional sleeping Puffskeins were seen by another hole in a wall like the previous encountered one, required to clog the two separate warmer holes to continue the progress, as the platforms above had a lever and the locked door needed to reach the room where the fire seeds were located.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- This only appears in the PlayStation version of the video game adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. In the game, the player (Harry) must use Flipendo on the Puffskeins to have them follow him so they can plug the grates.
