This cupboard was a room inside a corridor of a courtyard.[1][2]

Leta and Newt in this cupboard
Sometime in 1910, Newt Scamander used this as a sanctuary and hiding place for creatures he cared for. He kept two Streelers, a jar of tadpoles, and one injured raven chick. Leta came in here after running away from Professor Minerva McGonagall and several students who were trying to punish her for using Oscausi on a Gryffindor girl.[1]
