The House of Tudor was a royal house that ruled England and its holdings from 1485 to 1603 (Tudor Period). Mostly comprised of Muggles, the family had at least one member with magical ability, Mary I.
History[]
Though the Tudor monarchs (possibly besides Mary I, who was a witch) would have been unaware of this, the Tudor family reigned England during the time of the Keepers and Isidora Morganach's presence in the wizarding world. The Map Chamber was described to have been constructed in a "Tudor style".[1]
Known family members[]
- Henry VII — King of England from 1485 to 1509.[2]
- Henry VIII — King of England from 1509 to 1547.[3]
- Anne Boleyn — Second wife of Henry VIII and Queen consort of England from 1533 to 1536. Accused by Muggles of being a witch, but possibly believed to be a Squib by wizards.[3]
- Mary I — Queen regnant of England from 1553 to 1558. She was a witch and owned a wand.[4][5]
- Elizabeth I — Queen regnant of England from 1558 to 1603. Famously opposed to marriage, possibly due to a jinx cast on her by Lucius Malfoy I.[6]
