The Hufflepuff Quidditch Team (the Badgers) is the Quidditch team of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry's Hufflepuff House. They play in robes of canary yellow and black. Two notable Hufflepuff Quidditch team members were Cedric Diggory (Seeker and Captain), and Zacharias Smith (Chaser and Captain). In addition, the 1996-97 Badger side holds the distinction of handing rival Gryffindor House its worst Quidditch loss ever--a 320-60 drubbing.
History
1991–92
Hufflepuff was defeated by Gryffindor. Severus Snape refereed the contest, and Harry Potter caught the Golden Snitch within five minutes.
1992–93
Hufflepuff only got to play Ravenclaw. The Quidditch Cup was canceled before their next match against Gryffindor because of attacks on Muggle-born students.
1993–94
Hufflepuff defeated Gryffindor when Cedric Diggory captured the Snitch. Gryffindor's Seeker Harry Potter was attacked by Dementors during the match, and Diggory graciously offered to replay the match under fairer circumstances. It is also known that Slytherin defeated Hufflepuff this season, yet the final score is unknown.
1995–96
Both Ravenclaw and Gryffindor defeated Hufflepuff during the 1995-96 school year. It is not known which side won the Hufflepuff versus Slytherin match.
1996–97
Hufflepuff defeated Gryffindor 320-60 after Harry Potter, the Gryffindor Team's Seeker and Captain, was knocked out by a Bludger hit by the Gryffindor substitute Keeper Cormac McLaggen.
Uniform and equipment
The Hufflepuff Quidditch team's uniforms are canary yellow and black, the same as their house colours. Similar to the uniforms of the three other houses, the Badger's Quidditch uniform consists of a long robe, tight fitting sweater, leather gauntlets and shin-guards, and light boots. A small embroidered Hufflepuff crest is stitched onto the uniform over the heart, and the name and number of the player are on the back of the robe in black lettering.
Goggles are often used in stormy playing conditions. In addition to the established uniform, the Keeper wears padded leather chest armour and an optional padded leather helmet. Beaters also carry small black clubs (similar to baseball bats) to help them ward off and redirect Bludgers during matches.

Behind the scenes
- In an interview, it was revealed that Michael McManus played Beater for the team in 1993, despite Maxine and Anthony being on the team in that year. Michael may have been a reserve.
