This painting of a fruitbowl was the entrance to the Hufflepuff Basement.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- In a webchat in 2007, J. K. Rowling stated that the Common Room was hidden behind a still life painting, which following this was featured in LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4. J. K. Rowling later wrote on Pottermore that the entrance was hidden behind several barrels.[2][3]
- The Hufflepuff Basement is located near the kitchens, which were also entered through a painting of a fruitbowl.[4]
