Ichthyomancy was a method of divination involving the use of fish.[1][2]
History[]
Caroline Fauconnier, a seer and shopkeeper based in the Place Cachée during the 1920s, was skilled in this type of divination.[3]
During the late 1980s, a group of Ichthyomancers got lost in the North Sea after their navigation charms failed, and the British Ministry of Magic's Department of Magical Transportation asked Jacob's sibling if the Hippocampus at the Magical Creatures Reserve could rescue them, which it did.[4]
Praedico Predico, a shop in Diagon Alley North Side, sold fish for ichthyomancy, as well as other fortune-telling tools and lucky charms.[2]
