Minister Ignatius Tuft was a British wizard who served as the twenty-seventh Minister for Magic of the British Ministry of Magic, in office from 1959 to 1962.
Tuft was a hard-liner who capitalised on the popularity of his mother, the previous Minister Wilhelmina Tuft, to gain election for a single term. He promised to institute a controversial and dangerous Dementor breeding programme and was forced from office in 1962.[2]
