"...and was pleased to find that when left alone, he was able to concoct an Invigoration Draught quite easily."
Harry Potter's opinion on brewing this potion[src]

The Invigoration Draught was a potion which presumably boosted the drinker's energy.[1] Fifth-year students of Potions class were required to brew an Invigoration Draught, which was supposedly rather easy to do when left alone.[1]

History[]

During this assignment, Harry Potter did better than usual in Potions class and felt secure that his correctly-brewed potion would manage to finally earn him an 'E'. Professor Severus Snape, however, had been angered the previous day by Potter and maliciously smashed Harry's phial of potion, thereby making it impossible to mark the potion. When Harry returned to his cauldron to fill a new flask, he discovered that Hermione Granger had vanished his potion, having believed him to be finished with it.[1]

Members of the Ministry of Magic's Beast Division, such as Mathilda Grimblehawk's partner, would brew this potion using Alihotsy leaves, dried billywig stings, Peppermint, Stewed Mandrake, and Infusion of Wormwood. They would later consume this potion to assist them in their investigations.[3]
