Isidora Morganach lived in a house in Scotland, near Hogwarts Castle in the Middle Ages. It contained an ancient magic passageway to the Undercroft at Hogwarts Castle.[2]

History[]

Tudor period[]

This house was inhabited by Isidora, her father, and her brother prior to, during, and after her acceptance at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. When Feldcroft was affected by a drought, Isidora went to collect water from the well outside the house to no avail. She and her family were present when the Keepers stood on a nearby ledge and collectively relieved the village of the drought using an ancient magic spell.[1]

During the mid Middle Ages, when Morganach began experimenting with her pain extraction spell, she stored the pain she had extracted from various people in her home. Eventually the sheer amount of pain become too much to handle, so she requested the goblin Bragbor the Boastful to build her a repository to store the pain in the Keepers' Caverns.[3]

19th century[]

The house had been abandoned for as long as Sebastian Sallow could remember. In 1889 or 1890, the house suffered a fire while the raid on Feldcroft was ongoing. In the 1890–1891 school year, Sebastian and his friend fought off several goblins camped outside of the house. While investigating its ruined interior, Sebastian and his friend discovered a portrait of Isidora Morganach with her face burned off, which Sebastian thought must have been intentional. The ancient magic passageway to the Undercroft revealed itself to Sebastian's friend in the house's cellar.[2]
