- "I remember every wand I've ever sold. His was maple wood, dragon heartstring core, ten inches. A fine wand. Shame they snapped it in half when he was expelled."
- — Garrick Ollivander[src]
This wand was crafted by Garrick Ollivander before 1984, likely in the 1970s or early 1980s. The wand chose Jacob before he began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. When Jacob was expelled, the wand was believed to have been snapped in half.[1]
History[]
In their second year, Jacob's sibling found a broken wand in one of the Cursed Vaults on the fifth floor which they believed to have been Jacob's wand.[2] It was later revealed that Jacob snapped his own wand in half to open the Vault of Fear.[3]
