James and Lily Potter in the Mirror of Erised
James and Lily Potter were a married couple and the parents of the famous Harry Potter. They were both Gryffindor students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and members of the Order of the Phoenix. They were both murdered by Lord Voldemort on Hallowe'en in 1981, while trying to protect their infant son. See their individual articles for more information:
