Jellyfish are invertebrate animals that live mostly in salt water. Jellyfish have soft bodies and long, stinging, poisonous tentacles that they use to catch fish. They can inject venom into their prey via stinging cells.[1]
History[]
Uric the Oddball, widely considered to be one of the weirdest wizards in history, was known to wear a jellyfish for a hat.[2][3] There were some gigantic jellyfish living in the depths of the Great Lake.[4]
Cormack McLeod, the manager of the Montrose Magpies, once threatened to turn Chaser Alasdair Maddock into a jellyfish because of his unacceptable performances in Quidditch matches.[5]
Behind the scenes[]
- In LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, there are jellyfish in the pool in the Forest of Dean. Destroying all of them gives the Hufflepuff House Crest for that level.[6]
