- "... it spread as far as the eye could see, all over the floor of this building. One plumber said, "Look at all that water". The second plumber said, "Yes, and that's just the top of it"..."
- — Vernon Dursley telling jokes to Mr Mason[src]
This joke was about two plumbers who found themselves in a flooded building. It was told by Vernon Dursley to Mr Mason and his wife during a dinner party in 1992. However, Vernon was interrupted by noises from upstairs, which were caused by the house-elf Dobby.
Behind the scenes
- In the novel, it is Mr Mason who has a story about American plumbers that Petunia Dursley claims she has been dying to hear. As such this joke seems to be a replacement in the film and then cannot be considered canon.
