Kelp is a type of seaweed. When dried, it could be used as an ingredient in potions such as fertiliser.[1] Kelps could be found in the Great Lake.[2]
Overview[]
During its seedling period, the right conditions such as light, nutrient density, and temperature, were required for the plant's development. Once a sprout was formed, kelp grew and attached its holdfast, a root-like structure, to rock or cobble substrates on the ocean floor, with its backbone also beginning to sprout upward. Flowering occurred as kelp, the fastest-growing plant, developed its blades and gas bladder, provided it received enough sunlight and the water wasn't too warm. When it reached the fruiting stage, the kelp was ready to be harvested and used as a staple ingredient in many kitchens.[2]
