"Seamus did not answer immediately; he was making rather a meal of ensuring that his poster of the Kenmare Kestrels Quidditch team was quite straight."
— Seamus Finnigan's poster of the Kenmare Kestrels Quidditch team[src]

The Kenmare Kestrels were an Irish Quidditch team from the town of Kenmare, County Kerry, in the South of Ireland, that played in the British and Irish Quidditch League. Founded in 1291, they had leprechauns as mascots, and their fans also sometimes played the harp at matches. Their robes were emerald-green with two yellow 'K's back to back on the chest.[1]

Seamus Finnigan was a fan of the Kenmare Kestrels.[3]

The Kestrels were founded was founded in 1291.[1]

During one year in the early 1990s, the Kestrels defeated the Montrose Magpies. The Daily Prophet blamed Magpies Chaser Alasdair Maddock for the Magpies loss, because of his use of Muggle football techniques in the match.[2] In June the same year, they played the Wimbourne Wasps in Bodmin Moor,[4] and in October, they played the Wigtown Wanderers.[5]

Behind the scenes[]
