Kettlewell is a village in the historical region of the West Riding of Yorkshire, in England.[1]
History[]
It was one of the many villages throughout Britain where witches and wizards settled in numbers after the International Statute of Secrecy to rely on each other for mutual support, living alongside a Muggle population.[2]
In local wizarding parlance, Grypts (that is, Grindylow larvae) were called "Candypole".[3]
