L. Beardmore & Co. Apothecaries was a wizarding business established in the year 1790, that specialised in the sale of magical herbs and spices. Among their range of products were Syrup of Asphodel and Essence of Dittany, which Newt Scamander kept in his personal selection of potions, ointments and medicines in his suitcase in 1926.[2]
