Lake Windermere was the largest natural lake in England.[2]
History[]
In 1997, Rita Skeeter told Betty Braithwaite in an interview that she recalled interviewing Elphias Doge a few years back about Merpeople's rights. She commented that he seemed "completely gaga" as he seemed to think they were sitting on the bottom of Lake Windermere and kept telling her to watch out for trout.[1]
