This lake, located somewhere in Wales by the Siren's Rest pub, was the place where a Muggle was attacked by a magical creature. His (greatly exaggerated) tales of the encounter set in motion a Ministry of Magic investigation, conducted by Mathilda Grimblehawk and her partner, of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures Beast Division.[1]
