The lawn by the Forbidden Forest was used for Flying classes at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.[1][2]
In 1996, fifth-year Harry Potter's practical examination for his Care of Magical Creatures Ordinary Wizarding Level took place on the lawn on the edge of the Forbidden Forest, where students were required to correctly identify a Knarl hidden among a dozen hedgehogs, then correctly demonstrate Bowtruckle handling, feed and clean a Fire Crab without sustaining serious burns, and choose the diet to give a sick unicorn.[3]
