Le Prevost de Basserode was the surname of someone buried in the Père Lachaise Cemetery, in a crypt near the Lestrange Mausoleum.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- A plaque bearing the words "Le Prevost de Basserode" was reportedly added to the exterior of a crypt in the Circle of Lebanon, in Highgate Cemetery, as it was dressed to resemble the Cimetière du Père-Lachaise for the filming of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.[1]
- Charles François Marie Le Prévost de Basserode (1774–1849) was a French politician and military officer during the Napoleonic Wars. While he appears to be the most notable member of the Le Prévost de Basserode family, he is buried at Wasquehal, not Père-Lachaise in Paris.
