"Aunt Leah has the greatest of smarts. A seasoned expert in the Herbology Arts!"
— Leah Lee's verse in the Book of Toast Giver verses[src]

Leah Lee was a witch and the aunt of Barnaby Lee who worked as a Herbologist.[2]

Biography[]

Barnaby never saw Leah much growing up, as Leah was estranged from her family, especially her mother. As a consequence, she never mentioned Leah much. After she did once mention Leah in front of Barnaby, Barnaby had wanted to get to know her all his life. Leah, on the other hand, had only seen Barnaby as a baby and thought he had been influenced by his parents' Death Eater ideologies, and didn't think that he would want to meet his 'weird aunt Leah'.[2]

Barnaby finally met her during the 1986–1987 school year when she was in the Forbidden Forest harvesting rare aconite hybrids. As Barnaby had been picked as the Toast Giver, he wanted her to attend. She agreed, and travelled to London to meet her mother. Her mother sent her and her brother Cecil Lee to find Jacob's sibling and Barnaby after they hadn't arrived back in time, and the two went to Hogsmeade since they knew that the two students would be looking for a barrel of Butterbeer 1900, and that the only place with a reserve was the Three Broomsticks Inn. She and Cecil made a Portkey to take them back, however they argued about when it was set for, and nearly missed it as a consequence. When they returned, they argued about who's fault it was until Jacob's sibling broke up the disagreement. She later attended the Lee Family Toast and was impressed with Barnaby's performance.[2]
