- Penny Haywood: "The potion didn't work..."
- Jacob's sibling: "What was it supposed to do?"
- Penny Haywood: "Let me see what Beatrice was thinking. I was hoping I could temporarily gain the power of Legilimency through potions... But I can't."
- — Penny expressing her disappointment over this failed potion[src]
This was an experimental potion created by the Hufflepuff Hogwarts student Penny Haywood at the start of 1988–1989 school year in the Potions Classroom, while she was searching for her younger sister Beatrice. It was meant to give her temporary Legilimency powers, though it did not have any effect. Bill Weasley commented to Jacob's sibling in the classroom that Penny had added such a large amount of different ingredients to her potion that he had lost count. Penny was also very disappointed when she realised the potion did not work after drinking it.[1]
