The lemur is a clade of strepsirrhine primates endemic to the island of Madagascar.[3]
History[]
The lemur was one of the many creatures found in the Transfiguration Classroom. The particular lemurs used for Transfiguration were ring-tailed lemurs.[1] These lemurs were kept in Minerva McGonagall's office, as seen in 1996.[4]
Bly, Professor Jakub Gorski's assistant during the 2009–2010 school year at Hogwarts, was a lemur Animagus.[2]
