The Locked Room was located along the fifth-floor corridor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.[1][2]
History
During the 1984–1985 school year, the cursed ice had spread to this room. Professor Severus Snape and Caretaker Argus Filch once had a conversation about the cursed ice and the Cursed Vaults outside of this room, which was overheard by Jacob's sibling and Merula Snyde.[1]

Later on, towards the end of the school year, Jacob's sibling, Rowan Khanna and a friend (either Ben Copper or Penny Haywood) broke into this room. Merula Snyde, having briefly incapacitated them all with the Knockback Jinx outside the room, entered the room first, hoping a Cursed Vault would be inside. However, the room really contained Cursed ice, which Merula became instantly trapped in. After the other three entered the room, the Cursed ice spread and covered the door, locking them all inside. Jacob's sibling managed to use the Knockback Jinx to shatter the cursed ice and free all those imprisoned by it, and eventually managed to break the ice covering the door with help from the chosen friend, allowing them to leave.[2]
