Loiza,[4] also known as Loiza Chen,[2] is a Taiwanese concept artist and illustrator, who served as the cover art penciler for the traditional Chinese 20th anniversary edition published in Taiwan, which also additionally distributed to Hong Kong. He was tasked with line art and was invited to join this project by Krenz,[5] who was in charge of colouring and was the candidate directly approached by the publisher for the gig.[3] Both Loiza's line art work and his joint work with Krenz were printed as postcards, included only in the first print of the 20th anniversary traditional Chinese edition.[6]

Behind the scenes[]

  • When the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone of the 20th anniversary traditional Chinese edition was just about to go to print, the publisher became aware of an educational Facebook post from the Raptor Research Group of Taiwan[3] about how owls usually grab things between two front talons and two back talons, instead of three fronts and one back,[7] indicating that the to-be-published art had contained an error. Both illustrators were notified and speedily made corrections.[3]
