The London City Hall is the headquarters of the Greater London Authority which comprises the Mayor of London and London Assembly. It is located in Southwark, on the south bank of the River Thames near Tower Bridge.
History[]
By the summer of 1996, Sofie worked at the City Hall and there, one day, together with her co-workers, witnessed the Dark Mark appearing in the sky towering over the City of London, and the Millennium Bridge collapsing. This attack was led by Fenrir Greyback and a rally of Death Eaters, who were celebrating having captured and kidnapped Garrick Ollivander from his shop in Diagon Alley for their leader, Lord Voldemort.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- This building's appearance in the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince constitutes an anachronism, as it was built in 2002.
