M. P. Carneirus was an American wizard or witch and the Captain of Aurors for the Magical Congress of the United States of America in the 1920s. Their name appeared as official certification on some wanted posters issued by MACUSA.[1]
In the 1890s, he wrote a letter to Professor Satyavati Shah on the subject of celestial anomalies observed by the latter.

- This character was presumably named after Mauricio Carneiro, who worked as a costume illustrator for every Harry Potter film from Goblet of Fire onward, and as a costumer for Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince.[2]
