* Although not confirmed, it can be assumed that the MACUSA Surveillance Wizarding Resources Department and the Major Investigation Department was affiliated with this department.
* It is possible, if not likely, that whereas the Major Investigation Department handle "very major incidents", such as magical emergencies and national security issues like the Obscurial attack on New York, this department handles more "minor" incidents, which is to say, everything in between.
* Although not confirmed, it can be assumed that the MACUSA Surveillance Wizarding Resources Department is affiliated with this department.

The MACUSA Investigation Department (MID) was a department of the Magical Congress of the United States of America. It is probably a sub-division of another department, such as the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, and was responsible for investigating breaches and violations of American Wizarding law.[1]
