The MACUSA Surveillance Wizarding Resources Department (M.S.W.R.D.) was a department of the Magical Congress of the United States of America. It was responsible for the implementation of the defence policy of the wizarding community of America, as well as providing support and offer advice to its citizenry in emergency situations.
History
In 1926, an Emergency Message was issued by this department, warning that the Magical Exposure Threat Level had been increased to Severe: Unexplained Activity, and instructed people to contact this department if they required any support or advice on how to stay safe in an emergency.[1]
