Macarons magiques (English: magical macarons) was a type of macaron that was invented in 1605, as during that year Les Galeries Mirifiques created 'the greatest macaron'. Les Galeries Mirifiques had won an award for their macarons. During the 1920s they sold two types of macarons; Flavours of France, tasting of snail, frog, and champagne, and a chameleon range which changed the colour of the consumer's skin.[1]
