The Magic Alphabet[1] was a poster of the alphabet used to inform wizarding children of the alphabet.

Lily Evans and James Potter bought their son Harry one, and hung it in Harry's bedroom at Godric's Hollow.

Behind the scenes

  • The poster is similar to Muggle teaching tools that pair letters of the alphabet with words that begin with the respective letters along with a picture of what the word describes, but unlike Muggle posters, many of the words represent magical things, such as unicorns or dragons.
  • There are at least two versions of this poster, one with A is for Alchemy and one with A is for Abracadabra. (see this image)
