- "Please, we don't know what magic caused this!"
- — Matilda Weasley addressing students in Classroom 3C[src]
This disturbance occurred within the later part of the 1889–1890 school year after an owl was sent to deliver the Hogwarts acceptance letter to an unidentified witch or wizard, with the rare ability to see traces of ancient magic, who was due to start the following term. The event was most likely linked to this, though it is unknown what exactly caused the disturbance, or how.[1]
Events[]
The disruption caused Natsai Onai's Levitation Charm on a book to end, much to her surprise. Students and staff at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry were equally confused. Professor Matilda Weasley could be seen interrupting a Defence Against the Dark Arts class to tell the fourth-year students that she did not know what magic had caused it.[1]
