Maidenhead is a town within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, in Berkshire, England. It lies on the River Thames and is situated 41.4 kilometres west of Charing Cross in London.[1]

Sometime before 1999, a Hallowe'en wizarding barbecue party in Maidenhead gone awry, as there were several loud explosions and a vampire came, showing an alarming interest in the neighbouring Muggles' daughter, and was only persuaded back over the fence by the offer of a raw steak.[2]
