This cellar, located in a wizarding hamlet Aranshire, belonged to Mary Portman in the 1890s.[1]
History[]
In or before 1890, Mary Portman secretly bred the thornbacks, including The Insatiable Spider, in her cellar. Later, however, Portman lost control of the spiders, who killed her by wrapping her in webs in her house.[1]
In the 1890–1891 school year, a student of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry investigated the cellar and killed all of the thornbacks.[1]
