In September 1927, McClaggan was being taught by Professor Albus Dumbledore in Defence Against the Dark Arts, before being interrupted by Torquil Travers and several accompanying Aurors, where he tried to defend Dumbledore to Travers much to his irritation, before being ordered to follow Minerva McGonagall out of the classroom.
