This dessert was created by the Muggle-born wizard André Leroux. He was inspired to create the dessert after hearing Rita Skeeter attempt to discredit him by inventing a dish which couldn't exist. After he found out, with the help of Tiburon Merriweather's great-grandchild, Rita decided not to publish the article and let another journalist cover it. That journalist contacted the Most Extraordinary Society of Potioneers for comment, who affirmed their belief that memory-boosting potions (such as Baruffio's Brain Elixir) don't work, discrediting André and leading to a drop in sales, despite André's dessert actually helping to boost one's memory.[1]
