- "You are shown a series of training techniques inspired by Mad-Eye Moody which require you to stay on your feet and defend yourself for over an hour."
- — Description[src]
Method in the Mad-Eye[1] was the name given to a participatory training exercise included in the training programme ministered by the Auror Office to those who successfully completed the stringent series of character and aptitude tests required to qualify for becoming an Auror-in-training.
It centred on a series of training techniques inspired by the late Alastor Moody, where the participants had to stay on their feet and defend themselves for over an hour, hence increasing the amount of damage they could withstand from their adversaries in a duel.
It was also part of the training offered to members of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force in 2019 who sought to pursue a career as an Auror at a time when they were dealing with the consequences of the Calamity.
