Michael Byrne is an English actor who portrays Gellert Grindelwald in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.
Byrne's other film credits include Colonel Vogel from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (with Julian Glover) and The Saint (as Rade Serbedzija's aide-de-camp). His television roles include Peter Guillam in Smiley's People and Major Nairn in several episodes of the miniseries Sharpe.
He portrayed Alfred Maxwell on Casualty in 2015 in a recurring capacity, and had a regular role on Coronation Street between 2008 and 2010.
