Mildred Banks was a witch who attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during the 21st century.

Biography

Mildred was born at some point between 1995 and 1997. At some point, she made friends with fellow student Mortimer Dreadnaught, as both were the victims of bullying. Because of this bullying, both decided to become Dark wizards to gain the respect of their fellow students and stop the bullying. To do this, they decided to brew a Polyjuice Potion, although Mildred mostly let Mortimer brew the potion. They had to brew the potion more than once, as, in a previous attempt, the potion they brewed turned them both green. Unlike her friend, Mildred was not as worried about getting into trouble with the staff at Hogwarts.

She was eager to visit the Hog's Head Inn in Hogsmeade, to finally have a chance to mingle with some real Dark wizards. Her friend Mortimer asked her if there were really going to be Dark wizards there, not because he was afraid, according to him, but because he didn't want to appear too eager. Mildred considered that he was right and that they should keep their "evilness" undercover.

In December 2010, she told Mortimer she didn't understand people who were afraid of werewolves, and if they are, they shouldn't go out on a full moon. She also told him she didn't think it was a big deal. He disagreed because they randomly attacked anyone who crossed their paths. She was surprised at how cautious he was and asked how he can call himself a Dark wizard. He told her he was one but at least he would be alive.

In the 2011–2012 school year, Mildred's name could be seen on Professor Flitwick's scroll, implying that she had signed up to participate in the Intercontinental Wizard's Cup. However, she was not chosen.

Behind the scenes

• She was first named "Gwyneth Wortlap", but it was later changed in the "Beaters, Bludgers, & Broomsticks" season.
