- "You practice against an armoured Duelling Dummy, focusing your spells on precise points of weakness."
"Mind the Gaps" was a participatory training exercise included in the training programme ministered by the Auror Office to those who successfully completed the stringent series of character and aptitude tests required to qualify for becoming an Auror-in-training. During the exercise, the participants would practise their spellwork by casting spells on an armoured Duelling Dummy, where they had to focus their spells on precise points of weakness in the armour. Its aim was to help prospective Aurors increase the chance of landing a critical hit against tough opponents and creatures with a natural resistance to magic. It was also offered to members of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force in 2019 who sought to pursue a career as an Auror at a time they were dealing with the consequences of the Calamity.
